2009 Little League Parade

4/9/2009:

Parade and Pictures

The Hoboken Little League started up their 2009 season this week – and will be holding their annual parade this Saturday!

Festivities begin at 10am near the Hoboken Elks Club at 10th and Washington Streets. After the parade, players and coaches will assemble at the Little League Field at 4th and Sinatra for team and individual pictures.

As of now – the weather forecast doesn’t look too promising – but that won’t stop the team spirit from showing up!

I’ll help with the Babe Ruth team — if someone can post some info on how and where to contact the current staff.

I need a hobby this summer and would love to help out!![/quote]
Hoboken parks & recs runs the Little League. It’s a bit of a ‘fraternity’ like a lot of things in town, but they seem to be short-staffed in Babe Ruth, so you may be able to help. On the whole, coaching is just better in Little League. If Joe Grassi had a BR team it would never lose.

Hey you better not be that guy who hugs his own son – there’s a lynch mob looking for you! They caught me smiling at my daughter as I pushed her down Washington in her stroller last weekend and I’m still walking funny.

Is that why I get such strange looks while at the playground with my son…

Careful, Biffy – according to other posters on this board, if you or anyone else is spotted in the company of children then you’re clearly a pedophile!

Had a chance to check out many LL games last summer as I like to go there and work on my tan. Too many kids these days do not know how to hit. They dont keep their elbows up, they step down the 3rd/1st base line and they all use bats that are too big for them.

These are the basics that my father taught me, that I dont see being taught anymore.
