Political attack or unhappy customer?

4/7/2009:

I heard something about this on the Hoboken411 Live Police and Fire action channel – but only caught the tail end of the report..

Splattered!

But Hoboken411 reader “Park Ave. Post” snapped these photos and said:

“Walking past Creative Groove Studio at 12th and Park (yesterday around 2pm) and noticed it peppered with what looked like paint-ball hits. Not sure if the shooter had a beef with the campaign posters in the window or the studio space. You be the judge.”

They also sprayed the cars along that block. Fortunately, it rained and the stuff came off easily. I don’t think it was political, because the cars that were hit didn’t have campaign signs, more just some horrible kids with nothing better to do 😐

I think that if this was politically motivated it is a despicable act and I hope that it will convince more people to display signs of support for Kids First. If a business owner can be intimidated in this way, I certainly hope that it will not disuade any KF supporters to display signs or wear buttons — whichever candidates you support for the BoE, this is bad for democracy and free speech.

How about calling it “Poopie’s Kristallnacht”?

Well, not exactly a night of broken glass, but a malicious act of vandalism meant to stifle free speech and intimidate ordinary folks. The message goes like this: “If you DARE advertise your support for Kids First, silent hands will come to you in the night and f*ck you up!”.

So, instead of asking “political attack or unhappy customer” the question ought to be: Team Poopie– fascists or thugs?
