Reminder – the Single, Mingle & Bark event was postponed back in may – to yet another semi-dreary day today…

Attend this fun social event – and help support the Liberty Humane Society as well! Your donation and support enables LHS to continue to shelter and care for the thousands of homeless and abandoned animals that come through their doors each year:
Singles mixer for animal lovers!
“We are holding our first singles event in conjunction with the Liberty Science Center. It will be held at the Science Center on Friday, May 1, Thursday, June 4th 2009 from 6:30 – 9:00 pm. Singles can bring their dogs and meet other “singles” that love dogs as well! The dogs will be a great ice breaker. We are very excited about this and really want to attract the young, professional crowd. Light refreshments and wine will also be served.”

Speaking of mingling and barking, there’s a happy-sounding dog that hangs out in Stevens park every morning. I can hear him/her from our place each day: “roo-o, roo-o-o-o…”

Back in DC there were some bars that held weekly dog-friendly happy hours durign the summer on their patios…I would check one out here.
