"Other times, Lange seems to be doing all right, particularly when there's tomfoolery to be had. He's great fun to be with in the car, zipping through New Jersey in his silver Mercedes. No one's allowed to wear a seat belt. "I don't play that shit," he says. "That's un-American." He blasts through a couple of stop signs and floors it to the Holland Tunnel, pulling into the E-Z Pass lane. "I think I figured out a scam," he says excitedly. "I've been blowing through E-Z Pass all year without paying!"

There is no way the maximum occupancy for Lana is anywhere near 700 people.

In response to Stpaddygirl who said:
Remember when Artie was suppose to show up to his own Movie Premiere (Beer League) at The Madison? He walked in for about 3 minutes and left Ralph Macchio there.

Why do I get the feeling Artie will oversleep, or run into a coke dealer at the Malibu Diner on his way to Lana and never make it there.
I was there we were talking to the older actor eh forgot his name. Funny story about two years ago(+/-) I was crossing the street near the Tea Building (had the right of way) and this gold Mercedes SLK blows through the red light and almost takes me out. I stood there like WTF the guy looks at me and waves then he goes screeching into the parking lot of one of the Shipyard Buildings. It took me about ten minutes to realize it was Artie. The tip off should have been Stern blaring from the car.

I was there Sunday at Lana, and although it wasnt perfect I got to see a really funny performance! The venue could have been better but I ate, had a few drinks, laughed, and donated to a cause! The crowd was very HAPPY and well behaved. I am guessing there were about 500 people, all fans of the Stern show. Thanks to Artie and the promoters for a good nite!

Lana is pretty big. Not sure if the one large room and upstairs area I am thinking of can really fit 700 but the space is pretty big. It has been a couple of years since I have dipped into there.

From what I here it is one guy who is producing a benefit show for children with cancer & blood disorders… I heard that it was originally supposed to be a much large event at PNC - but after landing some big name rock acts, the operators of PNC buried the deal in red tape.
So instead of bagging the whole thing, the producer pushed forward and grabbed what he could get… Now it seems that there WILL be a benefit show – there WILL be money raised for charity and at the end of the day, I cut slack to anyone who does anything like this. I hear this guy is a real estate agent in Hoboken… I admire anyone who would even think about taking time out of their schedule… A little disorganized??? SO what?! I will go. VIP and I will be happy to contribute to this wonderful cause….
I hear next year this is supposed to be in Red Bank.
