Catchy Ad: McDonald’s Sweet Tea

3/31/2009:

Good tune – not sure about the tea yet

mcdonalds-sweet-tea.jpgHere’s another catchy commercial I’d like to share with you – it’s for McDonald’s Sweet Tea.

I dig the “Back in the Day Song” by Know One (on iTunes too) – however the song was re-recorded for McDonald’s (and improved quite a bit over the original).

Other than that – the overall vibe of the commercial is sentimental, and kinda puts me in a good mood. Maybe I’ll try a Sweet Tea and see if it has the same effect on me.

Note: McDonald’s only lists nutrition info for the “child” (90 cal) and “small” sizes (120 cal) – so I’m presuming this giant cup is 32oz. and about 240 calories.

Have any of you tried it yet? How about the song? Good beat, eh?

Look 411, whatever you do with your website is up to you, but a few points:

1. What does this have to do with hoboken? Slow news day?
2. I’d argue the Filet-O-Fish commercial (singing fish on wall) that’s been playing all lent is much more catchy.
3. Calorie counts? Small, medium, large beverage descriptions?? Don’t take this the wrong way, but is McDonalds paying you for highlighting this “special”? I’d hope this isn’t some sort of surripitous ad on their behalf.
