Parking sticker problem solved

4/21/2009:

Last year, many residents were realizing that you have to potential of getting your car rejected at the inspection station – because having the Hoboken RFID parking sticker on your windshield is apparently a no-no. Even the city website has this horrific message on the parking page:

Personally, despite the sticker being “wireless,” I think putting it on the rear windshield can also cause some issues – whether it’s dark tint – or messing up your defroster. I say “Screw it!”

Just buy some Scotch Poster Tape ($4.99) – and your problems melt away like the ice inside a margarita on the beach.

I’m not moving mine to the back of my car until the city comes out with a message instructing people to do so in better English than that. I still scratch my head when I read that notice. What issues are we balancing?

Yes homeworld that is correct because it looks like it was just transferred to another vehicle. You need to either leave it or get a new one from HPU – when you bring the old one in with your info they give you another one its rather simple. As long as you don;t get booted while you are inside with no sticker on the car 😛

Everyone seems to be ignoring my original comment. They will boot you for having scotch tape anywhere near your parking decal.

If you have a plastic rear window or a Jeep Wrangler, it was advised to place the sticker on the front. So mine is on the front. I passed inspection. What is the problem?
