NY WATERWAY FERRIES OFFERS TICKET REFUND TO HELP RIDERS SAIL THROUGH ROUGH WATERS
NY Waterway, whose commuter ferries have carried commuters through rain, snow and sunshine for 22 years, will help riders weather the economic storm by refunding tickets for anyone who loses their job, CEO and founder Arthur E. Imperatore announced today.
“Our promise to our customers has been, ‘We’ll always get you home.’ No matter the weather or conditions on the river, we find a way to get you home,” Mr. Imperatore said. “And in these difficult financial times, we’ll try to help our riders weather the storm and find a way home.”
Effective March 1, 2009, any customer who purchases multi-trip commuter ferry tickets, such as 10-trip, 40-trip or monthly, can get a refund for unused tickets if they present their original purchase receipts and a letter of termination.
NY Waterway and Billybey Ferry Co. operate the largest privately-owned commuter ferry service in the U.S., carrying 30,000 passenger trips per day – 8 million trips per year – on 34 boats serving 20 routes between New Jersey and Manhattan, and between Rockland and Westchester counties, and between Orange and Duchess Counties.
