Hoboken Photo of the Day – 2/26/2009

Here’s a nice crisp shot I snapped of 14th Street looking eastbound from Park Avenue. Ever since the Garden Street Lofts project is finishing up, the area is looking quite clean and inviting. Too bad it doesn’t have more foot traffic.

The blurb about the foot traffic is true. I walk up to that area to go to the gym and walk by CVS, but 9 times out of 10 I end up stopping at Rite Aid instead of the CVS, I guess because of habit from before the CVS was there. True, it’s nice to not have to deal with the crowd of “tourists” but who knows if the CVS will be sustainable.

So why do we need more foot traffic there? It’s nice that it’s more peaceful this side of town.

Very nice!

We need a Trader Joe’s there. But many of us have discussed this, already. A TJ’s will bring in the foot traffic.
