What is this graffiti?

2/26/2009:

What is it supposed to represent?

Have you noticed these strange template-based graffiti markings around town?

They’re starting to pop up in various spots. I believe it says “kRSNA” and have no idea what it’s supposed to mean.

What do you think it is? A gang marking? A creative artist? The boogie man?

Yeah, that’s the ticket, an admirer! Sounds like Jason wants to attention but not the culpability….

He also doesn’t have the guts to stand by the kRSNA that you see spraypainted periodically around town. Some of those vacant buildings get tagged every so often, though they often times get painted over w/in a few weeks (or longer – never really kept that close an eye on it, but now I will). I always wondered would that scrawl was b/c the letters were such a jumble it was unclear. But if you look at the pic in one of those links, and using kRSNA as a guide, you can tell that is what it is. Maybe I’ll go see if I can find a tag and take a pic. I bet all the landlords/property owners would like to know whom they should be sending the clean up bills to.
