WIN a new 2009 Toyota Prius!

Enter the $50 Raffle to benefit Stevens Cooperative School!

Founded as a parent cooperative in 1949, Stevens Cooperative School, a leader in progressive education, now has 400 students in 2’s – 8th grade on two campuses in Hoboken and Jersey City.

What’s in it for me? Me! Me! Me!

With the purchase of a $50 raffle ticket, you have the chance to win a 2009 Toyota Prius with a retail value of $24,938 (48/45 mpg)! You’ll be so hip when you get rid of your big gas guzzling SUV and start driving a trendy new Prius. You’ll be better to the environment and more likely to find a Hoboken parking spot you can actually fit into.

Some features:

 • Hybrid Synergy Drive System
 • 1.5 4 Cyl DOHC 16 Valve w/VVT-i Engine
 • Electronic Continuously Variable Trans (ECVT)
 • Electronic Power Steering System
 • MacPherson Strut Front Suspension
 • Torsion Beam rear Suspension
 • LCD multi-information display panel with energy monitoring, fuel consumption, climate control, outside temperature and audio status modes
 • AM/FM CD with six speakers, auxiliary audio jack and MP3/WMA playback capability
 • Cruise control, Smart Key System, Vehicle Stability Control and Backup Camera
 • Driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System
 • Driver and front passenger front seat-mounted side airbags and front and rear side curtain airbags
 • Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist

What are my odds?

They are pretty darn good! Only 999 tickets will be sold. Buy one ticket and your odds are 1 in 999! So buy two or more tickets and increase your odds. These are better odds than the NJ Lottery and easier than flying to Vegas.

When is the big drawing?

The drawing will be held at The Westin Jersey City Newport on April 18, 2009 during the Stevens Cooperative School 30th Annual Auction.

Winner need not be present to win.

It’s a $50 lottery ticket to benefit a private school in town.

Buy a ticket or not.
Win or not.
If you win, take the car or not.

IMHO, too much tortured analysis here.

I’m with RealDeal—I’ll take El Flamboyan anyday.
(And wish it was still downtown.)

A Canadian donut chain had a promotion where you could win either a Honda or Toyota. The general population went absolutely nuts that a North American vehicle was not used as a prize.

Strand brings up an interesting point.

come on “realdeal”…chime right in on this Prius thread…how about telling us all about your latest iPhone download? or how much you like your gym? how about your favorite place for food delivery? you are just so fascinating…you’re so cooooool !
I’m anti-iPhone, like Club H, and enjoy El Flamboyan. Unlike you, I enjoy life, view people as equals and am not full of myself. Why don;t you apply to be the next auto czar? You perform analysis as an I-Banker so you must know what everyone wants and needs.
you sound like a very petty little person. a quick search of your posts show that you don’t really post anything more than drive by one liners, and not really funny either. why would you think i would know what “everyone wants and needs”? i commented on what cars sell well in the US. did i say “petty”? perhaps more of a dullard and i’m guessing now but i’d say bad hair too.
