Home FSBO – 700 Bloomfield St.

2/7/2009:

Today, I figured I’d help out a very good supporter of Hoboken411 – and list her For Sale By Owner entry at 700 Bloomfield Street. You can see the house tomorrow from 12 to 4pm.

This was one of the homes we liked in our “Construction Cheers and Jeers” post from April of 2008.

I don’t think this place sold. I walk past this place everyday. They took the for sale by owner sign down a day or two after they asked to appear on H411. The last time I counted, which was about a week ago, there were 4 apts for sale (excluding this one) and 6 apts for rent between 7th and 8th on Bloomfield. So, if you are interested you can have your pick.

I’m not sure it makes much difference now but when we married and were both making money (I make some now, just not as much as I used to), it was really, really depressing. I wasn’t going to let Randy live w/me, I was just going to get him to sign the marriage license. 😉 Between your diapers and my shoe addiction, we may both have staved off some of the worst parts of this recession. I tell people all the time I’m a one-woman economic stimulus package. Sounds like your baby is a one-baby economic stimulus package!! The good news is you’re working p.t. and that should help, the bad news is, no matter how much that helps reduce the tax burden, you’ll still get hit in so many other ways (no benefits for school loans for example), b/c AMT comes in high, but if you’re hitting that, even on a single income a… Read more »
Yes, we get hugely screwed. Don’t even get me started on taxes, dammit. First, marriage screwed me out of the refund I should be getting, then AMT. I didn’t even get a deduction for my child last year because of AMT!!!!!
That sucks. I feel your pain. Unless I marry a louse without income, I’m pretty much screwed out of everything you are. I’ve seriously considering asking that crazy homeless guy who yells at the ladies (Randy?) to marry me, you know, so I can benefit a little bit from his non-income. LOL Meanwhile the states of NJ & NY continue to head towards bankruptcy and the federal gov’t continues to ask me to send $750 to people who probably can’t manage their credit card debt.

Oh woe is me!! 😈
