Hoboken Photos of the Day – 1/30/2009

I found this old picture of the current TD North Bank (was Commerce) building on Newark and Hudson on my hard drive. Not sure where I got it, or what year it was taken (early 1900’s I suppose).

But it’s interesting to see how development around this building has diminished it’s “might” over the years!

PS – if you have images collecting dust on your camera or hard drive – send them in for eventual inclusion on Hoboken411! Please state how you’d like to be credited in your email, and a description – if desired!!

Now we’re bitching about cars that were parked illegally 50 years ago? 😈

I have to agree, early 50’s.

Out of curiousity, what’s going to happen to the former TD Banknorth location around the corner on Washington and 1st? That place is absolutely beautiful, and I far preferred it to the Newark Street location.

This building out shines all the surrounding trash.

The car in the lower right looks to be a 1950 Buick, so the picture dates no earlier than then. Also looks to be parked too close to the corner .
