Introducing: Gravatars!

What?

Last week, I quietly introduced a new feature on Hoboken411 called “Gravatars.”

“A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an avatar image that follows you from blog to blog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites.”

It places a little icon within your comment, to help people quickly identify who’s participating and adding a little “personality” to the comments section. I’m still experimenting with size and placement, but it seems to be working OK at the moment.

How do I get one?

Simple.

Just go to gravatar.com sign up and upload your file (be sure you use the exact same email address that you did when signing up on 411.)

And soon enough, when you make a comment – your little identity will appear next to your name.

Fun, eh?

Re 71: Love it! The cat that got the canary, if I’m seeing it right, with my aging eyes….

And using this post to test if my aged gravatar made its way.
