Mini Bus Shuttle Service Doomed

Every single solitary person I know has never taken the Hoboken Crosstown Bus. To me, it seemed like a private van for a few people in town. Who knows.

However, fiscal monitor Judy Tripodi pulled the plug on this “hardly used” service, and will cease operations on February 1st.

The bus seemed to have a mysterious schedule from 7 in the morning to 9 at night. The route was ridiculous. Some Hoboken411 readers even spotted the bus “up to no good” at times.

Again, there is no need for a cross-town bus. We have the light rail that services the west side and several bus lines that run on Washington. During peak hours, there is even a bus that runs on Willow.

I understand that there are areas that are not convenient for mass transit. However, we can not have a bus covering every inch of the city.

Thank you very much. I figure those from Wall Street to Jackson Street (Projects) put me first, why shouldn’t I put me first.

Finally, please stop referring to your child as “a little one”. When you type out that reference to your child, I have a vision of Madonna talking with her fake British accent.[/quote]

wow…should she be calling her baby “a little bastard”? Madonna? Your imagination is running a little too wild. Stop watching Extra, Access Hollywood, and other shows that killed your brain cells

So is it the “Me Generation” the one that has been constantly borrowing and spending beyond their means to create the $1.2 trillion yearly national debt that today’s children will have to pay off? Is it the “Me Generation” that is paying money into Social Security from but will never seem a dime from it?

Getting rid of this service was the right thing to do. Although a few people may suffer minor inconvenience because of its removal, it’s simply too inefficient for a small municipality like Hoboken to try to supplement NJ Transit’s services.
