Grace Pak, in Manhattan. I was in the “business” of health care (Family Practice) for 7 years in Hoboken and we sent most of our patients to her. She is a brilliant dermatologist with a pelethora of consultants if she doesn’t know exactly what is going on. She has become quite the botox and skin care queen (to survive the financial crunch of insurance companies, HMOs, etc.) but she loves the practice of down and dirty dermatology. She is in the West Village area.

Re 7.HairyHarry: As noted previously, I highly recommend Aradhna Behl of Hoboken Acupuncture and Herbs, 79 Hudson St., LL104, 201.420.0846. Chronic pain can often be very effectively managed with acupuncture. So much so, that a number of insurance companies now reimburse for it.

i don’t know about the needle stuff, but katie…uh, i mean Victoria Moonshadow will do an awsome job with hot wax and tight ropes. and only cost the price of 6-8 shots! just remember that when she starts screaming “WHAT’S MY NAME?!!!” it’s really a rhetorical question.

Has anyone had a good experience with acupunture in Hoboken? Especially relating to healing lower back pain?

I would also suggest Began in town. Linda Cappiello (if she’s still in practice here & yes, related to Steve), has also had a good rep. I’d also agree that Fernandez-Obregon is best avoided. Also, depending upon the skin problem, acupuncture & herbs can be helpful, if you’re open to alternative medicine. Aradhna Behl, of Hoboken Acupuncture & Herbs, 79 Hudson, is wonderful!
