Giants vs. Eagles II

12/7/2008:
Simple poll today (since no anti-Eagles pics were sent this week).

How will game 2 of the Eagles vs. Giants pan out today? As you recall, the last game played in Philly was a exciting and tight one. Will the Giants play better on their home turf? Or will Philadelphia return the favor today?
Giants vs. Eagles II
In other games – the Cowboys vs. Steelers game seems like it might be interesting – and will the Jets get back on the winning side and maintain their one-game lead in the AFC East?
(Also, check the “mid-term” polls to see how your previous predictions are holding up!)

So the guy behind us and down about 4 people threw up all over himself and the two guys in front of him at the game today. Geez and us Jet fans get a bad rap?

Good game. I guess Eagles found out 3 key things:
1. No Plax means you can single cover Hixon and Toomer who are woefully average.
2. No Plax means you can put 8 in the box, blitz on run downs, and basically eliminate the Giants run game.
3. A healthy Brian Westbrook is a very, very dangerous opponent and good luck trying to cover him 1 on 1…as Antonio Pierce learned first hand.
The game should have been a shutout, i’m saddened that the birds let the Giants even score in the first half. The score doesn’t even show the true domination that happened this game by the Eagles.
But, hey, i’d love to have my team at 11-2 right now…Giants have clearly had a better season, and have had close games go their way. I think the Eagles are more like a 9-4 team than a 7-5-1 team…but that’s the NFL…you are only as good as your last game.

Gints’ receivers looked very smurfy yesterday, and Jacobs’ knee is troubling. They have the look of a team that may have peaked too soon.

Hard to beat a very good team 2X. That’s the story. Dropped passes on a windy day, good defense & a great Westbrook beat my Giants. Plax is a loss but the Giants will prove that they are a very good & deep talent team as well.

I’m rooting for the Giants this weekend! Go Big Blue! Beat those nasty Dallas Cowboys, and help my team to the playoffs!

Don’t you think if they were ACTUALLY a 9-4 team their numbers would state as such?

Oh I agree. I mean look at the Giants in 2007-08 season and they were 10-6 and went on to win the superbowl. Peaked at the right time.
Kind of like my Eagles seem to be peaking now and could end up 10-5-1 if they win the next 3 games.

I’m actually a Jets fan, I just can’t stand the Eagles…
Not saying anything to you (because I’m sure we’ve never met) but every Eagles fan I have ever met has been severely obnoxious….

I hate both teams, but overall it was a good game. Now whoever wrote that Toomer is woefully average is on crack. The guy is a great receiver and when you’re #1 is out double coverage sucks! If you played football you would know that. Or maybe you knew that but still hate Toomer – I’m not sure. The Giants suffered too many dropped balls and miscues on defense. I think the news/media got too them b/c they made rookie like mistakes. But hey that’s football. Philly’s record does not show how good the team is. They just need to get there heads out of there arses and play ball as a team (uninjured of course).

Yeah, Giants played like shit all game. Eagles were not all the great either. Westbrook was the only bright spot.
