Hot air at City Hall

12/5/2008:

Hoboken411 reader Tim noticed some more waste at City Hall:

Turn down the thermostat!

“Was walking by the courthouse and noticed a bunch of open windows. It was 25 degrees that day! Oh well.”

Now Perry, you know damn well that is not a true statement. They don’t nap at their jobs, They are never there. The windows are open to air the room from the ordor these people leave behind (no pun intended). However, it is possible, have you seen the size of some of these employees? They need the window open or it would be like water rapids with all that sweat. Let’s hope Tripodi does her job and does it well.
I probably turned the a/c on twice all summer…in the winter I turn the heat on maybe 5 days total.
Same here…eventually I just took out the AC and put it on the curb. Heat doesn’t bother me. If my friends complain, I offer them beer. If female visitors complain, its just all that much more encouragement for them to disrobe.
🙂

I didn’t turn on the heat at all last winter. I did put clear plastic up on the windows, and it never got below 65, even on the coldest night. However, I think that had a lot to do with my neighbor below cranking the heat, which rose up to my place. Thanks, Nick!

Because, like 95% of high schools, they don’t have central air, and it’s often unbearably hot in May, June, and September?
I grew up in NJ and never had any AC in school. If it was hot, they’d open the windows and turn on a fan.
I think its hotter now due to the climate change.
