Burress shoots own leg – no big deal

Plaxico Burress Accidentally Shoots himself in the leg

new-york-giants-plaxico-burress-shot.jpgAnyone who follows the NY Giants knows that they’re so good this year, that Plaxico Burress has been pretty much a non-factor for the team. In fact, on top of having a very mediocre year, he’s been more of a thorn in the side – receiving suspensions for missing meetings and so on.

Reports say Burress, who wasn’t scheduled to play in tomorrow’s game vs. Washington anyway (after injuring his hamstring early in their last game against Baltimore), apparently shot himself in the leg at a nightclub last night.

The injury wasn’t serious.

Might as well make a poll!

Let’s not pretend that Burress was doing anything honorable, practicing his right to keep and bear arms.

Responsible gun owners keep them locked up and out of sight so they’re not a danger to their families. The desire to strut around in public carrying a loaded pistol is completely irresponsible and in fact illegal without the permit. Such permits are granted sparingly for good reason – or you would have millions of paranoids blowing each other away.

He should be punished as should those who covered up the incident.

Do you think a few of us with our guns is going to over power the military? That last resort is not a resort.
If the scenario were that government centralized and abandoned/vioalted the U.S. Constitution’s guarantee of rights to individuals and states, then the military is no longer sworn to allegiance with that government and actually is required to rebel against such a case. The military is sworn to then remove such a government. The people, with the Second Amendment backing, may form and organize to create a resistance which would some day take back individual rights.
If the military is sworn to remove the govt then why do we need guns for? You know I’m just messing you because it’s slow at work right?
