Happy Thanksgiving, Hoboken!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and hope your day and night goes by smoothly!
Need a Thanksgiving Drink?
My sentiments are exactly the same as last year – “While Thanksgiving is usually a festive day to catch up with friends and relatives – some folks might be driven to drink as a result. If you need to get out of the house and belly up to a nice pint somewhere in Hoboken, see the list of what should be open tomorrow and when:”

Hoboken Bars open on Thanksgiving
- DC’s Tavern (8pm)
- Liberty Bar (5pm)
- Oddfellow’s (6pm)
- The Shannon (6pm)
- Moran’s (6pm)
- Mulligans (7pm)
- City Bistro (8pm)
- Duffy’s (9pm)
- Trinity
- Sullivan’s
- Green Rock
These places were open last year – but have no info on them for this year at this time…
Farside, Hobson’s, Lana Lounge, Louise & Jerry’s, Nag’s Head, Texas Arizona, The Cage
(Let me know if I’m missing any – and as always, you might want to call to confirm)

Nice BW Pic of good old days – smoking at bar – 18 yr. olds in uniform could drink – Today, you can be a cop, firefighter, soldier and put your life on the line and combat humans, fire and crime but you can’t drink legally. Strange world.

I love the fact that “The Cage” opens up at 7. I guess they’re figuring that most of their customers will be coming back from family dinner around that time.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, especially those who keep us safe at home and abroad. By the way, 18 yrs. is the age required to be eligible for police and fire positions under the NJ Civil Service Commission regulations.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now it’s time to get into the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. Despite the economy, the stores were very crowded this weekend, don’t know what impact it will have on the economy, but it was nice to see that people are at least trying to get into the Season despite their financial situation.
