Hobokenpix: Ladder Truck

[Continuing the Hoboken411 “Photo of the Day” series…]

Hoboken Photo of the Day – 11/24/2008

Here’s a leftover picture I had of one of the many “Careless Cooking” responses that the Hoboken Fire Department makes every week. This Ladder Truck was parked on 12th Street between Clinton and Willow.

Most likely its kept in another municipality or a county yard somewhere close. Every city has reserved apparatus that are kept somewhere, with Hoboken’s lack of space I’d say its out of town somewhere.

Unbroken,
Do you have any idea where they keep this reserved apparatus?

One of the other 2 ladders must be out of service for wahtever reason. This hook-n-ladder is kept around as a reserve apparatus in order to provide adequate coverage when a ladder thats normally “in service” has to be placed “out of service”

I have a question for anyone that might have the answer, I have noticed the Hoboken Fire Departments Hook & Ladder the past couple of weeks on a few runs, does anyone know what station they keep this monster of a truck at? I live down the street from the fire departments HQ and I know it’s not kept there or at the station by the High School. I have to give alot of credit to the guys who drive this thing down the side streets of Hoboken without taking out double parked cars, little girls who let there dogs shit on the sidewalk, or strollers that are half the size of the truck. Anyways I was just wondering where they keep this thing.
