Disappointed in Gentle Dental Care. They were good for 20 years but when it is the end of the year and they wait until last minute to cancel your scheduled appointment, watch out!!!! Not sure if the front office receptionist is the voice of the whole view of the office but certanly to me she was. This is the only experience I have to go by because the tech or doctor has not attempted to contact me. Needless to say it must be her job to get it done or she messed up and forgot to call earlier to reschedule my December 29th appointment because I was treated rudely with flipant intermitant noise when I asked a question —would I get a new appointment by year end? Would I lose my insurance? Reasonable enough…. not ‘gentle’ enough for them. I had to be stern to get an appointment, and only after three times of saying Monday would not work I was reluctantly given an am appointment on Tuesday. Traffic prevailed and was going to be late and when I called to say that was told they could not accomodate. Gentle Dental —no one is that good not to offer extrodinary custmer service expecially a loyal patient for 20 years when YOU have the scheduling conflict. Would think before going here. It may be good until it is not. Looking foward to my new customer friendly dentist who was flexible enough to see me this Sat.

I found Dr Javier on 411 1st to be affordable – gentle – and knows what he is doing.

I never had to wait in the waiting room. They took me in as soon as I came in and spent the whole hour on me. They told me they don’t side book patients like most dental office in Hoboken do.

I also like the super immaculate clean zen like office appearance and I also like his top notch high tech paperless office equipment (he even showed me images of my teeth that I can see in the TV screen and reviewed each one and offered me choices).

My wife and I have been seeing him now for more than a year.

Anyone have a recommendation for a good, inexpensive Hoboken dentist if you have to pay out of pocket.

+1 to dental associates.. they have a great staff and a great office. i only stopped going to them because my new insurance was not fully accepted (meaning i had to pay up front and then get reimbursed later).

that is what happened to us also. I loved their practice, but it was an insurance issue. Where do you go now?

I’ve heard the new one, Nova Dental Center, on the corner of 6th & Clinton, is very good.

I took my daughter to one on 7th & Washington, Dr. Chi ‘ip… or something like that. The office looks like a throwback from the 70’s, but the staff was extremely nice, and so was the doctor. Since my daughter was nervous, I got a lot of mileage out of his name (Q: Do you know Dr. Chip’s parents, Potato and Chocolate? And his sister, Ketchup? What about his dog, Crispy?) I guess you have to be 6 or under to appreciate those. Anyway, we liked him.

We’ve been at Dental Associates of Hoboken (201-210-5182) on Washington at 3rd (they have the great holiday train display) for 5 years (since our child was 3) and their pediatric dentist Dr. Lau is superb as was her predecessor Dr. Rose. Very kind, patient and gentle. A great overall practice.
