Parking regulations suspended 11/4/2008

11/3/2008:

According to the Hoboken Police (and overheard on the Hoboken411 Live Police and Fire Action Channel), “parking regulations are suspended on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.”

** You may still want to confirm exactly what that covers (i.e., moving signs, etc.) – But I’m fairly certain this covers the street cleaning on the side streets (i.e., Tuesday streets). I was going to call the HPD to ask if metered spots also apply, but my cell is down for the moment.

Hoboken 411,Off the subject for a minute, have you posted anything in regards to the equipment that is no longer in Empire Gym? I looked into the side window today and many of the machines are gone, did they do this move during the night?? has anyone else questioned this??
Thanks, keep up the great job!!!! 😀

looking4parking on election day the Hudson County political machine uses their city hall patronage mills to “get out the vote” for their candidates. Instead of doing the people’s business you will see them rounding up voters and getting them to push the buttons for their machine choices. That’s why they get the “day off.”

Does this mean another paid holiday for the city workers?? I thought we were in a hole? why stop one of the main money maker this town has.. They are so screwed up here, anything for a paid day off… In the real work most people are working as well as verterans day, presidents day and all the nongiven days.. Who wouldn’t want to work for this town? half the time its a no show position anyway..
