Hoboken Photos of the Day – 10/22/2008

As most of you are fully aware, there’s currently a lot of roadwork going on in Hoboken. This picture of steaming hot and freshly paved asphalt was taken at the intersection of 4th and Bloomfield Streets yesterday.

PS – if you have images collecting dust on your camera or hard drive – send them in for eventual inclusion on Hoboken411! Please state how you’d like to be credited in your email, and a description – if desired!!

My theory is the mayor is prettying the streets b/c he wants to run again. I bet it has been ages since this much roadway has been paved all in one year. Last year they did what, all of 3 or 4 blocks?

Unfortunately the far west side of town between 7th and 9th streets is not slated for road paving and it’s a MESS. And of course with all the construction going on – looks like sweetheart developers were not forced to repave after construction on Jackson, Monroe and Madison, like they should have. They are all just doing spot treatments and it’s reprehensible.

I think you’re right. See the light at the next street up. And the tux place is on the corner of 4th and Bloom right?
