Happy Birthday Auto 5-digit!
Correction: I found out that Mayor Roberts pays for these letters himself.
However, I think it should be clearly stated that it’s NOT paid for by city funds… especially in these bleak economic times!!
As some of you might have known, yesterday was my birthday… I didn’t celebrate it really – but it was the one day a year I can say… “It’s my birthday” and really mean it.
So what would a day in my life be without connecting it somehow with Hoboken411? (That would be the day I win the lottery).
Anyway, I received “birthday notices” from Mayor David Roberts and Councilman Michael Russo last week.
The letter I got from Roberts, seems to have been paid for with YOUR taxpayer dollars… and they used a bulk mail system! (Hence the title “Auto 5-digit!”)
See the lettter, as well as Russo’s card after the jump!
(Happy Birthday Hoboken411 – continued…)
Here’s the letter I received from David. Just like John McCain, he’s “MY FRIEND!”
Russo – on the other hand – sent a simple card (NOT paid for by taxpayers) and a manual sticker was applied – rather than being printed directly on the envelope.
Thanks Michael (and the city taxpayers!)
