Have you registered to vote yet? If not, shame on you!
If you need alcohol and a fun social scene - head on over to Shannon Lounge (106 First Street) this Thursday from 8pm - 10pm. In addition to the usual drink specials, volunteers will be on hand to either sign you up, or confirm that you’re already registered. You receive a free drink and a raffle ticket for doing so. DJ spins at 9pm, then the giveaways start at 10pm.
Get on down there! The deadline to register to vote is October 14th!

Are they that hard up for patrons or cash? What will they think of next? Lost 10 lbs have a drink, got a new car have a drink, whoever drinks the most get a raffle ticket and another free drink. Who ever can get the most public urination tickets in a month free drinks for a year, and you’re gonna need it after paying the fines! This is why they lost one of the best Hoboken crowds. GREED!

Tara from the Shannon is interested in getting people registered for the upcoming election. If a few goodies might help entice potential voters to stop by, so be it. I’ll be there on behalf of People for Open Government with a stack of registration forms, ready to help fill out forms and answer any questions.
