From the National Weather Service:
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED FLASH FLOODING FROM THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM ORANGE COUNTY IN NEW YORK TO WESTERN NEW JERSEY… MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS… HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY… POOR DRAINAGE (like Hoboken) AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.

I’m going to tie all the homeless regulars together and make a raft so my Leboutins don’t get wet on my way to work.
