Comedy of Errors

9/23/2008 Update:

Chris O’Connor from Mile Square Theatre says:

“We’re opening “Comedy” at Monroe this coming Friday for our shows to the general public. We’re also doing a series of shows for school groups.

This is a significant step for us, to begin producing in E200 at Monroe. We’ve transformed the space into a nifty 100 seat theatre.

I hope you can post the information. Our opening night is Friday, followed by a reception. If anyone wants to come, please don’t delay, because seating is limited!”

From the Mile Square Theatre:

2 hilarious show at new theater space

comedy-of-errors-hoboken-sm.jpgAfter 5 years as a floating theatre, MST has found a home! In an arrangement with Monroe Center for the Arts, MST will begin producing in the Monroe Theaterspace.

Our first show will be a jazz-influenced production of The Comedy of Errors, for which we brought back the design team that created last year’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In addition to creating the world of Shakespeare’s Ephesus, the designers will transform Monroe Theaterspace into an intimate 100-seat performance space.

The Comedy of Errors will open to public performances on Friday, September 26th, at 8pm. Performances will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 5pm till October 12th. All public performances are Pay-What-You-Will, with a suggested donation of $20. For reservations and information, call 201.208.7809.

Monroe Center for the Arts, Theaterspace E200 @ 720 Monroe Street in Hoboken. Free Parking.

Spread the word and we look forward to seeing you there!
