McCain Watch party at Avenue Bar

8/30/2008:

Just like the Democrats had their Obama Watch Party over at Willie McBride’s last week, here’s some information about how you can gather with some Republicans this week.

NFL Season Opener + Republican Nomination

On Thursday, September 4th, The Hoboken Republicans and The Hoboken Republican Organization will be hosting a McCain Nomination Watch Party at Avenue Bistro/Bar (Washington Street between Fourth and Fifth Streets).

Prior to the Nomination Watch Party, several attendees will gather to watch the NFL season opener at Avenue. The gathering will begin at 7:00 pm with the McCain acceptance speech expected to occur at 10:00 pm.

The Eagles club is ALWAYS a fun time!! You’ve heard of “Party ’til she’s cute?” Well, party ’til it’s fun – though it rarely (if ever) comes to that.

I also learned to maximize space in my old kitchen, so this new one feels luxuriously big and easy to cook in. I actually enjoy cooking now. So if Irish wants to start private cooking lessons, should his apt be too small, he can hold the class for 5 or so at my place (I only take a 60% cut)! LOL

Easy, I would love to do a cooking section for 411. I would love even more to be paid to do it. Honestly, I really get a great deal of satisfaction out of helping people become better cooks. I think cooking at home for yourself is one of the best things you can do for your health.

I totally lucked out with my new place though. It has an outdoor terrace that is perfect for smoking and grilling. When you cook professionally, you learn to maximize space. I cook in a really small kitchen everyday. It is all about preparation and using the space to it’s maximum potential. Besides, how can you watch football without smoked ribs and beer.
Katie, looked like a fun time. The Eagles opened awfully strong, as did the Steelers.
Right now my ribs are in the smoker and my steaks are waiting the hot grill. Decadence for one last day and then back to the grind. I really need my own gig . . . maybe catering the Eagles club games! :P
You’re killing me. I like to cook, though not as much as you. Drives me nuts that I don’t have a reasonable amount of space to do it in. Hell if I had a grill, that would be awesome. Maybe next time I move… Get a nice kitchen.

Hey we’ve got the legal beagle, whom everyone seems to hate for some reason. 411 should give you a spot for a recipe or tip from time to time.

Just a thought, you post here anyway!
