Fuddrucker’s – Weehawken
When I was a kid, I remember the big sensation about the Fuddrucker’s on Route 4 in Paramus. They had massive hamburgers and people were mesmerized by this gimmicky restaurant. But I decided quickly to never go there again after I witnessed bugs crawling over the massive mound of ground beef they had visible in the kitchen. Bad memories indeed!
So when this new place opened up earlier in the year, I figured I’d give it another shot, maybe things had changed?

(Weehawken Fuddrucker’s, continued…)
This reviewer had high hopes, because the place looked clean, the condiments fresh, and the view was beautiful. What could go wrong?
Simply put: Everything was spot on… except the hamburger meat itself! Quite possibly the least satisfying hamburger I’ve ever had! Oh don’t get me wrong, the fries were fine, the toppings were fresh, but the meat tasted like nothing, and must have been 50% fat. I coined the phrase “fat disc” after a few bites, and became a bit queasy afterward.
If they can find a better beef supplier, and perhaps “beta test” their recipe, they might have a chance.
Will I go back at least one more time? Yup. I’ll either try their new sliders and/or a chicken dish to see if there are some redeeming factors for future visits.
Have any of you tried it yet?
