The Resturant Week offerings in Hoboken this time are pretty weak. Other than Arthur’s, they’re all a rip off.

I disagree. Arthur’s is sh*t, and therefore any price they come in with is a ripoff.

I went to Amanda’s last week and it was pretty good. They had some half price wine deals as well.

I went to Madison & selected the Restaurant Week Special of Meatball Sliders, BBQ Porkchops & Dessert for $35. I then added up what it would cost if I ordered each course separately —- $37.
Well, I guess saving $2 is, technically, a special.
Lame!
And the BBQ Porkchops sucked, by the way. The only thing Madison knows how to do right is Mac & Cheese!

Not true. They also know how to train their door staff to act like a bunch of self-important douche tools.

I heard the Mac & Cheese is better at Maxwells

Athur’s? I think I am still picking the grizzle from my teeth from the one time I went there five years ago. Truly grotesque. Meat shouldn’t be that cheap people. Think about it.

I don’t know why anyone thinks differently. This isn’t a snob issue, this is a “Wow, I just ate a piece of shoe and they called it cow,” issue.

I just thought they used the old police horses for their grade-A equine beef.

I meant gristle by the way. That being said, Arthur’s still sucks. That glass of Sangria I had with lunch today must have clouded my brain. I love my Mondays off.

I think this is the movie quote that sums up the posts of jscirish27 and Katie_Scarlett:
‘This steak still has marks where the jockey was whipping it.’
Rodney Dangerfield, Caddyshack.
Tried to find the aduio file but couldn’t.

had a great dinner on the roof at Skinner’s Loft last night. $25 pp for a 3 course meal. Well worth it and nice to try something new out of Hoboken.

yes, I live down the street from it now, the food is kinda hit and miss. They do have a good brunch and the roof top is open but from 5-7 its for drinks, then they kick everyone off except for diners until 9 and then again reopen for drinks until 11.

we must have hit it. The only hiccup was that one meal took about 2 minutes to come out after the other 5. Other than that we all liked our meals. They were out of the wine we wanted but suggested a nice bottle instead. I didn’t know that about the roof when I made the reservation but good for me that I made it for 7! I like restaurant week – gives me a reason to try something new. Love OX and would go back there again. Any others in JC that I should try?
