Same ‘ole Trader Joe’s
Same ‘ole Trader Joe’s in Hoboken
Well, the Hoboken Trader Joe’s is now open. People are jumping for joy as if this is the first modern food depot in existence.
In reality – it looks strikingly similar to every other Trader Joe’s in existence.
A couple observations that might piss some people off:
- There are no bike racks outside! Oh, the humanity! (They’re actually way inside the parking garage.)
- And hilariously – the ramps to get inside are too narrow. They’re not wide enough to let two modern strollers pass. Two ladies were on the ramp at the same time, and one of them had to back all the way out so someone could exit. It won’t be long before there is an angry online petition to have them widen it.
Whatever, it’s just a supermarket.
Conceived and launched in 2006, the original Hoboken Photo of the Day category contains thousands of pictures and includes many other subsections, including Drunk Bread Crumbs, HDR Photography, Hoboken Digital Art, and more.
We feel that by photo-documenting the city of Hoboken season after season, “a picture is worth 1000 words,” and can tell a myriad of stories encompassing the good, bad and the ugly contained within the mile-square. Our constantly-evolving way of maintaining a historical archive of memories and sights.
