Prime Place Convenience

6/3/2009 Update:
Many Hoboken residents love 24-hour convenience stores – they make so much sense in a densely populated city… and some feel that uptown is void of a decent late-night location such a Prime Place Convenience (1st and Madison). (prospective business owners – are you listening?)
Since I live uptown, it’d be great to have a place like this nearby! Here are some recent shots of this much-appreciated spot on First Street.
7/28/2008:
A new convenience store opened last week in Hoboken, on 1st and Madison Streets.
Anyone try it yet? Any good?

Thought I’d keep this thread going. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I recommend stopping by this place if you live in the area.

I agree. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and the selection is great. They seem to be in that early phase where they are carrying almost every variety of beverage their distributors offer. Hopefully they keep it that way and don’t do the inevitable pare-down of products.

love this place! open 24 hours and they offer a nice selection of healthy foods. A little bizarre that they display their vegetables on shelves, but I’m going with it for now. Also, the staff is super friendly- my first night in there, the clerk was eating pizza and offered me a slice…

UH….HELLO… Uptown has the ULTIMATE convenience store… the 24X7X365 Rite Aid… they’ve got everything you need….

Also Prime Corner just opened recently at 3rd and Madison. I assume same owners. Friendly people. Open 24 hours. Nice selection.
