Koro Koro Rice Ball Cafe

Koro Koro Rice Ball Cafe – Hoboken, NJ – 201 Washington St.

What was once Ice Hut / Soup Hut, then Sedona Jewelry (201 Washington St.) – is now Koro Koro Rice Ball Cafe.

Originally in Jersey City – they opened up a second shop here in Hoboken (the one in J.C. is under repair).

And it’s not “rice balls” in what most people might suspect (breaded, fried). They’re more like sushi, and the entire facility is Gluten Free.

Check out their menu here. Seems like an interesting diversion from the same ole’ for people in Hoboken who like eating out instead of preparing their own food. And there is so much flavor variety compared to Asian sushi.

We’re not sure if this is a pop-up or permanent. Maybe someone knows. But they should be making a killing here in town (that is if the dopes at city hall don’t meddle with small business).

Here’s a video of “how to” open and eat these triangular rice food things. Makes me hungry looking at it. Maybe I’ll venture out and try some. The Korean BBQ sounds tasty. All for $3.25 a pop. Better than a slice of pizza, that’s for sure! (They also have buy three get one free from 5pm to 7pm – making them more affordable at about $2.43 apiece.)
