Beauty is: Holiday weekends in Hoboken

7/4/2008:

Happy July 4th again! (to those that may be surfing the web…)

I took a little trip yesterday and returned to Hoboken this afternoon, and was reminded why I love the big holiday weekends around here. Hoboken, while not completely devoid of people, is essentially a ghost-town compared to every other day.

Parking everywhere, quiet streets, and general peace and calmness. Cherish it while you can!

Unbelievable parking spaces for my friends! And only my car is in the 8-car garage. I must be the only one that doesn’t own a Shore home in Mantoloking near Mayor Quimby.

You could have parked a full-length tractor-trailer on my block last Christmas.

Just wait for Christmas. Nobody around anywhere, all the buildings are dark.
