Hoboken Floods {again}

Hoboken Floods once again

Another typical summer thunderstorm – more of the same: Hoboken floods all over.

Even with the “wet weather pumps,” half the town is under water.

Now, even manholes are blowing up all over the place. Trees down, electrical fires. What fun!

And they want to put walls up around this? Ha! What a joke.

The Hoboken Photo of the Day is a regularly updated section on Hoboken411.com.

Conceived and launched in 2006, the original Hoboken Photo of the Day category contains thousands of pictures and includes many other subsections, including Drunk Bread Crumbs, HDR Photography, Hoboken Digital Art, and more.

We feel that by photo-documenting the city of Hoboken season after season, “a picture is worth 1000 words,” and can tell a myriad of stories encompassing the good, bad and the ugly contained within the mile-square. Our constantly-evolving way of maintaining a historical archive of memories and sights.

This is what happens when you mess w Mother Nature. Beside building prime housing stock on land several levels below sea level , the really pitiful thing is realtors and government assessors would like to have purchasers believe that the property below sea level has the same value as the one above sea level. Just ask the homeowners w potpies floating in their lobbies and first floor condo units what they believe the value of the homes are.
