O’Bagel 30% more in Hoboken?
Why does O’Bagel charge a 30% premium in Hoboken?
Several Hoboken411 readers mentioned to us that the new O’Bagel shop at 6th & Washington is charging a significant amount more than their other three locations in Basking Ridge and Sterling.
To the tune of about 30% more.
For example – a “bacon egg and cheese” sandwich at their other spots is $3.95 each. Reasonable.
In Hoboken, the total is $5.14 (you have to “build your own” here in Hoboken to make the totals harder to ascertain for the app-dependent morons walking the streets like zombies…)
Other price discrepancies include:
- Make your own omelette: ($6.31 in Hoboken as opposed to $4.75)
- Bagel sandwiches ($8.18 in Hoboken as opposed to $6.25)
- Bagel w/ cream cheese ($2.34 in Hoboken as opposed to $1.95)
Is rent so astronomical that in order to stay viable, they have to push higher costs on customers?
Sure, it’s only a buck and change, but it adds up.
