Hoboken dogs under fire again!
They’re out again after Hoboken dogs (and their owners!)
Did you know that according to Hoboken “city code,” you absolutely CANNOT bring your dog to a public park? That is essentially true.
One exception, however, is that you can bring your dog into a public park ONLY if you’re bringing it TO or taking it FROM a city dog run.
It’s a stupid law, and hardly enforced.
But the city recently added a sign to the Stevens Park dog run reminding dog-owners what the “rules” are. This is obviously in response to some stupid stroller mom who’s kid probably got “barked at” for running around like a sugared-up maniac. And she called city hall upset that her kid was terrorized by some harmless dog.
So the city appeased the whining bitch and added this sign. No other dog parks have signs like this.
Oh, and the city couldn’t even get the sign right – they cited a non-existent city ordinance (it’s actually 93-22, NOT 99-22).
So that means “technically” some asshole at city hall can (try to) order you out of Pier C Park and Pier A Park because those parks do not have dog runs. Fuck ’em. They should be doing more useful things anyway.
