Should Chris Christie step down?

Word on the street: Should Chris Christie Step Down? {podcast}

The big political news in NJ today is the fury over Chris Christieand calls for him to either step down or be removed from office.

Apparently he had been ignoring the woes of New Jersey while he personally campaigned for President.

And during his first news conference in many months – he angered the press corps because he didn’t allow questions outside of his chosen subject (Judge appointee).

On one hand, if you call a press conference about a specific subject – sure, you can hope that people stay on topic. But on the other hand, if you’re the top public official in the state, and refuse to be held accountable for your duties… that’s another thing.

Here’s what people on the streets of Hoboken had to say about this to Hoboken Internet Radio’s Alice Stockton-Rossini earlier today:

Should chris christie step down as NJ governor

Yes, I think he should call it quits. But not because of his weight-management issues. And not because someone else could do it better.

All politicians should step down. We do not need rulers to guide us. In fact, with all the handouts and benefits, they are only making people dependent and not capable of self-sufficiency.

Maybe this is preaching to the choir. But that choir is not big enough yet.

These sorts of “polls” are worth less than zero. Filter out all the people who wanted him gone before he started running, then re-tabulate these results and let me know. Simply put, if you are a Christie hater, then his taking breath is reason to “can his ass” and if you think he was doing doing an acceptable (or better) job before his “race”, then your view as to whether his presidential ambitions were bad for the state _might_ be relevant.

Should Bernie Sanders relinquish his Senate seat as well? Rubio, Cruz, etc?
