Free Sandwiches at McDonald’s

McDonald’s Corp., the nation’s No. 1 hamburger chain, said Wednesday restaurants in the New York tri-state area will give away the chain’s new Southern Style chicken menu offerings on Thursday with the purchase of a drink.
McDonald’s said it will give customers Southern Style chicken biscuits for free from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and will hand out its new Southern Style chicken sandwiches beginning after breakfast hours until 7:00 p.m. To get a free sandwich or biscuit, customers must buy a medium or large drink at participating restaurants in the area.
The chicken biscuit is the first chicken breakfast menu offering at the chain.
Free Iced Coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts

Busy people who keep America running can keep cool for free. Dunkin’ Donuts, the world’s largest coffee and baked goods chain, will host its second, nationwide Free Iced Coffee Day. This year, Dunkin’ Donuts expects to serve nearly four million cups of iced coffee to its customers nationwide.
From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on May 15, customers can walk into any participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant throughout the country and receive a free small 16 oz. cup of Dunkin’ Donuts’ original or flavored iced coffee, double-brewed to ensure full flavor with every cup. Customers are also encouraged to try Berry Berry Iced Coffee, which combines the seasonal tastes of blueberry and raspberry with Dunkin’ Donuts’ award-winning coffee, or many other delicious flavors.
As part of the one-day event, the company is donating $80,000 to the National Police Athletic League’s Youth Leadership Program, a nonprofit organization that works with disadvantaged youth across the United States to emphasize the importance of community service and peer leadership.

Expect more of these sampling offers as marketers look for new ways to reach consumers.
Mc D’s, D&D, Starbucks, Rita’s, Ben and Jerry’s etc…
The press alone is worth the amount it costs to run of these sampling campaigns.

RIta’s and Stabucks were both giving out samples at the Art & Music Festival two weeks ago. Rita’s was giving out samples of cherry ice, chocolate ice, and mango ice

oops my comment got cut off.
The mango ice was great and it prompted me to buy a full sized one. Starbucks was giving out full sized coffees in one of their new flavors too.

Ben & Jerry’s does their free ice cream cone day in the end of April every year. The line is usually wrapped around the block all day long.

That chicken sandwich not too good. A fried piece of chicken and two pickles - no sauce where was the sauce?

I paid for the chicken sandwich a couple weeks ago. It just seemed like their regular breaded chicken with 2 pickles in a chemically soft bun. That breaded chicken tastes much better over a salad. I’ve had the McD’s chicken salads in a couple of places in Brooklyn, and the greens and the cherry tomatoes are very fresh.
