SHOTS FIRED!

Update: Victim shot twice

2/3/2016 Uodate:

Here’s an update regarding last night’s shooting. The suspect (or “actor” as they often refer to them as) was a black male, wearing all black. Still at large.

The victim was also a black male. He was shot twice. Once in the leg, and once in the stomach. He is currently getting treated at HUMC, and is expected to survive.

Shots Fired in Hoboken (near 8th & Monroe)

2/2/2016:

shots fired man taken to HUMC Hoboken NJ 8th MonroeWe got word that “shots were fired” near 8th Street and Monroe Street in Hoboken this evening.

Apparently one person has been taken to Hoboken University Medical Center. Unknown condition.

Also unknown are the circumstances behind this latest shooting (hot on the heels of the shooting death on Grand Street yesterday morning).

While 8th & Monroe seems safer than it used to be, with up and coming developments and a bustling arts center, this area is still very close to the criminal magnet NJ Light Rail station a block away. And convenience stores are in the top 5 targets for scum of the earth.

Will fill in details as we get them.

PS – if everyone was armed to the teeth – this shit would not happen.

Yeah if there’s something we need, it’s definitely a lot of strapped bros from Broboken to guarantee security.

Go to the State of the City address and you will hear something – albeit spin! Check the history of Police Chief’s comments – you can hear the manufacturing of spin over time. Stay safe all!

I’m sure tougher gun control laws would have prevented this.

Yes your right as I’m sure the guns used were obtained legally, and background checks were completed.

Two shootings in one week and not a peep out of City Hall. Last week the Mayor was quick to call ,not one, but two press conferences when she was comfortable declaring that the drowning in the river was a suicide. It’s easy when you can blame the victim and not the lack of police protection along the waterfront!
Hoboken is notorious for refusing to release crime information to the press, but these shootings DEMAND a response from City Hall. Answers, Mayor?

Early media reports on the Grand St. shooting were that the front door was forced in by an intruder. Now we are to believe that the victim shot himself?
