Del Frisco’s Slammin’

Del Frisco’s remains a Hoboken hot spot

On an average weekend night (with no blizzards) in Hoboken – Del Frisco’s Grille is one of the most consistently packed restaurants in town.

If you plan on going – to eat – your best bet is to make reservations. If you just want to drink? You better get their early – as it’s not uncommon for hours to go by before a seat opens up!

While far from being a mom & pop restaurant, Del Frisco’s is one of the best run chains out there – and they still employ a lot of locals, which is nice!

We liked the food, even though it was a bit over-priced. But the crowds plus the commercial feel of the place didn’t resonate with us. There is something missing in our opinion. For occasional visits, yes. Regular spot? Probably not.

It is funny, I just don’t find there to be that many good places to eat in Hoboken, I kind of don’t get it. With a few exceptions, most places are uninspired, unremarkable, and overpriced. I’ve lived here for almost 20 years and it used to not be the case. Conversely DT JC has a lot of great choices and I find myself uber’ing over to JC a lot to eat these days.
