5/20/2008 Final Update:
The Maxwell Place park opening has finally become normal.
However, I’m wondering how much all this work cost in total, and who paid for it?
See previous iterations of the opening, plus a video after the break…
4/28/2008:
Here’s some Monday morning fluff for y’all.
I noticed workers digging up the “entrance” at Maxwell Place this past week. They got rid of the ugly trees and made a flower bed instead. Here’s a photo gallery of the progress and you can see the fruity video I made back in August of 2007 when Mayor Roberts and Construction Code Official Al Arezzo were having their pissing match about the park opening/closing/opening.

So how do those flowers stop a truck?

I’m sure the tree, the hydrant and the lamppost will give the truck driver enough notice before they even get close to the flower pots.

i tought the “maxwell park” was the water front area with the double dog run and the mini-disney amusements and the “beach” and the goose sh1t? no? i know the city pays zero to maintain/improve the grass area next to the building because it’s PRIVATE PROPERTY. the area along the water with the community demanded kiddie park/dog urine pen is the city owned property.

well I wish the ‘city’ would turn on the human/doggie water fountain next to the park/dog urine pen because my little guy was thirsty on Saturday, after sniffing all that goose shit.

I am shocked — shocked and appalled — to find accusations (accusations!) of paranoia on this website when someone suspects a hand secretly reaching into his pocket.
