Gas leak on Willow Ave.

4/21/2008:

What’s being described as an “Emergency Situation,” it seems as if a more than minor gas leak is transpiring in the area 8th and Willow Ave. I believe it’s 732 Willow. Police are trying to evacuate nearby residents, and have cars in the area removed.

Willow Ave between 8th and 7th is shut down, and 8th Street between Willow and Park is closed.

Police notified NJ Transit to have Willow Ave. buses use 11th street to Washington to get downtown. PSE&G apparently on scene or will soon arrive.

Listen to the exciting “public utility” action on the Live Hoboken police and fire scanner.
maybe they will even let you park in their spot on the sidewalk.
Now just out of curiosity, what gives anyone the right to let someone else park on the sidewalk? Especially when there shouldn’t be anyone parked there in the first place?

Wow! HobokenPublius… if anyone is out of control, it appears to me that you are! I have no interest in getting personal here, but your comment was worthy to me of reply.
And, I’m disappointed that other people have not had more to say… your comment, HobokenPublius, was, to me, bordering on being threatening. It was disgusting! And you can’t even spell “gas leak”!!!

First of all, Rogo’s is not the only bar in town. Second of all, the blame on disruptive and disorderly behavior ANYWHERE should be placed on the individuals who engage in such behaviors- not the people who serve them. Third of all, in case you all haven’t noticed, Rogo’s is an awesome place! I don’t know what it was like before they renovated, but the food is really amazing… the atmosphere is cozy… and while this comment was not intended to be a “commercial,” I can’t help it- because HobokenPublius has NO IDEA what he or she is talking about. Get a life HobokenPublius!!

hey hobokenpublius since you live on 7th and Willow and are so concerned with the place why dont you stop in and express your concerns to the owners maybe they can try and resolve some of your concerns and issues. maybe they will even let you park in their spot on the sidewalk.

was it that “quality crowd” at Rogo’s ..that place is a black mark on the area. no control of their over served patrons…complete disregard for the community ..how they are allowed to keep a liquor license is a mystery too me ohh wait i guess if you can park across the sidewalk for 10 yrs and never get a ticket you must have friends in city hall.. too bad the gas leek didn’t blow that place up
