Hoboken Photo Leftovers September 12 2015

Like we do periodically, we scan what photos of Hoboken are circulating around the public social media-sphere, and try to find some meaning in them.

So let’s take a look at a few that we came up with.

Look at me! I drink coffee and paint my nails!

Found this photo on “Instagram.” You know the photo sharing site where people can stretch the limits of their creative skills? Oh, that’s right. NO creative skills, just a filter button to make things look cool with zero effort whatsoever. Anyway, I digress.

This girl inflated her ego by touting that she just finished yoga, and was enjoying an iced coffee along the Hoboken waterfront. 800 people “liked” that. They even complimented her on the color of her nails, sending her ego PSI off the charts. What a tremendous contribution to society! Go team!

Bike sharing (i.e., rentals for money)

Was thinking about this a bit. Since when did they change the name of “bike RENTALS” to “bike sharing?” You still have to pay!

Bike sharing is already doomed from the get go.

Lots of ink. Little shame. No self respect.

This “tattoo model” did a photo shoot in Hoboken. Took a look at her profile. Wow, who finds such vandalism to the human body attractive?

I’ve always felt that models were the shallowest people on earth – and quite possibly dangerously sociopathic!

Sad it’s just a “regular” weekend instead of “holiday” weekend? That sucks.

About Hoboken Photo Leftovers

Hoboken Photo Leftovers is part of the Hoboken411 Photo of the Day series.

These are photos that didn’t necessarily warrant an individual posting on Hoboken411.

They may have been related to other stories – or completely independent. These photographs are remnants of our travels in the past week. But equally important in maintaining an historical record of “life as we know it” in the Mile Square City.

At the same time, these photographs may also mirror the unique personal opinion of the publisher of Hoboken411.com.

Regardless, the pictures add to the “virtual encyclopedia” that this site now represents. Thank you for your readership!
