Upside Down

Only in Hoboken: Upside down trees?

This is the most puzzling “tree” in town.

Yeah, we know Hoboken is kind of fucked up when it comes to trees. They butcher some trees, while not removing dangerous ones. The list is long for tree bumblements that’s for sure.

But look at this odd tree on Grand Street. It’s practically upside down. Dead branches on top, flourishing leaves on the bottom. How does this happen, and why isn’t anyone trying to better this situation.

Anyway, figured I’d post this for historical record before the thing dies completely.

It’s sad how the City just leaves the dead trees in their planters, hoping against futile odds that they will spring back to life. How hard is it to at least pull the dead tree out. Pathetic. I spend most of my time up on the north end and there is no rhyme or reason to why the ones that die do, but that doesn’t change the fact they are dead, dead, dead.
