Jefferson Street Bridge
Cool! Jefferson Street Bridge in Hoboken
Look what Mother Nature has given Hoboken in return for all the “lot coverage,” the Jefferson Street Bridge!
At least that what it looks like. This narrow strip of road pavement nestled between what should be a natural swamp.
But no, we want to build pumps and go against the forces of the Earth. We’ll see how paltry those pumps are the next time some kind of real weather disaster arrives.
Parts of Hoboken are essentially “wetlands,” and should never have been developed. Oh well. A little too late now.
About Hoboken411 Photo of the Day
The Hoboken Photo of the Day is a regularly updated section on Hoboken411.com.
Conceived and launched in 2006, the original Hoboken Photo of the Day category contains thousands of pictures and includes many other subsections, including Drunk Bread Crumbs, HDR Photography, Hoboken Digital Art, and more.
We feel that by photo-documenting the city of Hoboken season after season, “a picture is worth 1000 words,” and can tell a myriad of stories encompassing the good, bad and the ugly contained within the mile-square. Our constantly-evolving way of maintaining a historical archive of memories and sights.
