Here’s a message from Councilwoman Beth Mason, regarding the recent victory over the Hoboken cell phone records:

“Dear Hoboken 411 readers,

I want to thank my fellow council colleagues for supporting my resolution at the last Hoboken City Council meeting to create a policy committee on the city employees use of cell phones and E-Z Pass transponders

The vote in support of the creation of a policy committee is historic in that it demonstrates the council’s willingness to address long-standing problems that the administration has simply ignored. The council’s demonstration of leadership on this issue is a very positive step in its ability to create a more fiscally responsible city government. I encourage residents to support the efforts of the policy committee and the city council members who are diligently working to establish a more accountable local government.”

i have a feeling if and when the public ever see’s these records they are going to throw up.i love the idea of less emissions as well but this is one of those things that goes in one ear and out the other until the mayor realizes i can use this as a flyer to the public.that will come in the mail right after birthday wishes and happy 4th of july nonsense.

Lose? What did I lose? I call ’em like I see ’em, and this whole thing stinks.

I am not playing your game, I don’t particularly care what the ruling was – for or against. Whether or not I would have supported the decision is a moot point in this case. Do I have to slow down and break it down to you further?

The fact of the matter is, as I stated before, public opinion is a VERY different animal. I think it would be wonderful to see some clips posted online come election time showing the response of half the city council regarding this issue, let them decide for themselves if something is suspicious.

OJ won in the courts too, why don’t you call him up and ask him how his fellow citizens a treating him these days?

Amazing that I would have to point this out to you, but you are in fact appropriately named.

Your posts read as if written by a lawyer/politician, is that what you do for a living? You should run for city council.

The fact is Mason and the City Council are doing something Dave Roberts said he would do in 2005, but never did. Since Roberts said he would get the Cellular Phones “Under Control” they have only gotten worse.

slowboken, your points were refuted in the other thread here: http://hoboken411.com/archives/10627

Beyond that there is no reason to respond. It would be redundant.

Youre response is laughable and not worthy of further discussion. I assume if the Appellate Dvision had ruled in her favor you’d be willing to acknowledge the legitimacy of the decision. What a sore loser.
