No Parking Capitol
Hoboken is No Parking Capitol of New Jersey
It doesn’t take a whole lot of time to figure out that per 100 (normally available) parking spaces, Hoboken leads the state, quite possibly the country – in “number of spots removed” on a daily basis.
Whether it’s “Temporary Police Regulations,” or just large-scale (and poorly coordinated) construction projects – what are we missing – 30% of the spots citywide?
It appears to me that there is no cooperation between departments in the city. If there is a long-term road project on one street nearby, shouldn’t “temporary signs” be restricted (unless it’s an emergency?)
I think you can stand in any location in Hoboken and be able to spot a “no parking” sign of some sort. What a pain.
Conceived and launched in 2006, the original Hoboken Photo of the Day category contains thousands of pictures and includes many other subsections, including Drunk Bread Crumbs, HDR Photography, Hoboken Digital Art, and more.
We feel that by photo-documenting the city of Hoboken season after season, “a picture is worth 1000 words,” and can tell a myriad of stories encompassing the good, bad and the ugly contained within the mile-square. Our constantly-evolving way of maintaining a historical archive of memories and sights.
