Look out for icicles?
Icicles form on new Hoboken building
I’ve never really seen this on a high rise building in Hoboken – icicles.
That’s what happened this winter over at the new (ultra-chic) Park & Garden building uptown. Construction is expected to be completed this year.
I wonder if that was just a freak occurrence or a potential flaw in the building design? You might suspect that any kind of architectural design program would allow one to “simulate” how a building and the materials would handle various conditions (wind, rain, earthquakes, etc.)
If it is an issue – hopefully they fix it before next winter! Because I don’t think I’d be too comfortable walking on the sidewalk underneath with those sharp projectiles above!
