Small fire – East LA

3/12/2008:
Apparently there is some kind of “trash fire” over at East LA, Fire Dept. responding.. Tossed cigarette was the explanation by passers by.
Now something to do with an awning, and seems to be extinguished.. FD checking for “extensions.” Not sure if someone tossed from window, or whatever. I’m here at home confused as to what time or day it is, so I have no idea. But I photoshopped what it might look like if the place was on fire.
Insert Mexican food / East LA joke:____________.

Love the ad for “watch the hottest videos” right under the photoshop of the “fire.”

The only East LA joke that comes to mind is how they are never held responsible for anything because of their connections to the city.

Ah, the HFD and their crack fire investigators again…”Yep, yep ‘nother cigarette.” “Sir, do you think we should go to the scene of the fire?” “Nope, I have a good parking space, just say cigarette”

Hey rangerfan, I heard they got ticketed on St. Patty’s day for being over occupancy. Anyone know if that’s true??

If they were kooky, and I don’t doubt they were in that instance, I would consider that the St. Patty’s Day anomaly. Every thing/place gets ticketed. I had a cop try to ticket me because he thought my snapple bottle was filled with booze instead of iced tea. Talk about a revenue day.

No fines were issued at East LA on St. Patty’s I worked the front door all day. We actually stayed under capacity for that main reason. We had Fire Inspectors in and out all day doing counts.
